The SSE PhD program in Economics is run jointly with Stockholm University, as part of the SDPE program.
During their first year of doctoral studies, students take mandatory core courses in mathematics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematical statistics and econometrics. These core courses provide the foundation for the topic or specialization courses taken during the second year. The second year courses aim at bringing the student to the research frontier in an area of specialization. All courses are given in English.
