Financing

The Stockholm School of Economics has the ambition of providing financial support to the doctoral student during the entire period of study.
The Stockholm School of Economics guarantees funding for four years of full-time study for the admitted doctoral student, but has the ambition of providing financial support for the duration of the doctoral program. SSE provides a tax-exempt scholarship of SEK13,000 per month to all new doctoral students in Business Administration who are admitted after the fall semester 2011. 

The research projects at the doctoral level are often supported by grants from various foundations and institutions.

Part of the PhD program may be completed at a foreign university or research institution, where special expertise in the student's particular field of research might be provided. Financial support for such research trips can also be provided via scholarships and grants.
