Year 1: Students deepen their knowledge in the core subject within the chosen specialization.
Year 2: Students broaden their areas of expertise by participating in elective courses. They also write a Master's thesis (30 ECTS credits). Students participating in the Student Exchange Program or the CEMS Program take elective courses at one of SSE’s partner institutions. (See exhibit below.)

Sustainable development is one of the biggest challenges facing society today. Hence CSR courses are either integrated or given as electives at SSE throughout the education. SSE Sustainability Research Group (SuRe) conducts research and teaches corporate responsibility (CSR) and sustainability at SSE.
