Center for Public Management

The Center for Public Management (the F-section) was founded in 1961. The center carries out research and education about management (including accounting and marketing) in the public sector as well as how states or non-state organizations regulate markets, firms and other organizations.

In 1992 the center expanded its operations and became highly multi-disciplinary. The center was one of the founders of Score (Stockholm Center for Organizational Research), a multi-disciplinary research center run as a joint venture by Stockholm School of Economics and Stockholm University. At Score some 30 scholars in management, sociology, political science and social anthropology. conduct fundamental research on the organization of society, the role of the state, the interaction between public and private organizations and public and private regulation.
